The binder shell is the home base for your personal selection of 'pages', each thoughtfully designed to fit different needle types, notions, and crochet hooks. Pages can be added or removed by unclasping the snaps of the leather rings at the back of the binder. The Mini Binder brings the flexibility of our full format binder system to a smaller, more portable format—perfect for retreats, travel, or focused projects on the go. This handcrafted leather shell fits up to three Mini Pages and features:
- A row of narrow slip pockets for your sock DPNs or cable needles
- Four tiny holes to keep tapestry needles and cable keys safely tucked away
- Dedicated slots for fixed circulars
- A gusseted zippered pocket to stow notions
- Two inner slip pockets inside each panel for papers or rulers
- A large zippered pocket at the back for added storage
- An elastic loop to hold a pen or your favorite crochet hook
- Two leather binder straps that snap open and closed for easy page swapping
Best of all, it’s fully compatible with any of our velcro tabs—so you can bring your favorite interchangeable needle sets or crochet hooks from your full-size binder along for the ride.
While full-format Needle or Crochet Binder pages won’t snap into place in the Mini Binder, you can fold one in and slip it inside for temporary storage—it fits perfectly.

Both Regular and Jumbo binders are compatible with all Thread and Maple organizer pages. The Regular Binder holds up to 4 pages, while the Jumbo fits 5 to 7, depending on your page selection and the bulk of your tools. Choose the size that suits your collection and how much room you’d like to grow.
To clean, use a very slightly damp soft cloth and gently wipe in circular motion. For minor nicks and scratches, you can use the same soft cloth or the wool felt buffer pad, which is included with the purchase of large leather items.
For optimal results, consider getting Thread and Maple's Leather Care Kit, consisting of leather soap and wax, which act as a shampoo and conditioner treatment for your leather.
Note that the suede and Rose-colored crazy horse leather doesn't respond well to this treatment, so it's best to use a simple very damp cloth on those items.
