DESCRIPTION

Learn the basics of embroidery in this sampler workshop, where you'll learn the skills to use yarn and thread to decorate and add texture to your handcrafts! We’ll be practicing making embroidery stitches such as running stitch, backstitch, chain stitch, French knots, satin stitch and feather stitch on fabric with an embroidery hoop with a crewel needle. 

Skill Level: beginner or novices wanting to practice! 

Materials Required*:

  • 5 or 6 inch embroidery hoop
  • 10 inch fabric square
  • Preferred method to transfer a design to the fabric
  • Size 22 crewel needle
  • Lace weight yarn or light fingering (you can use your scraps)
You may also purchase a store kit for the class that will include woolen fabric, embroidery hoop, sticky fabric stabilizer with the sampler image, crewel needle and a variety of suitable yarn to complete the project. (Kit available beginning of July)

CLASS REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION POLICY

·  When signing up for a class, please add your name and email to the "Notes" section on the checkout page so that we may contact you with any additional information about the class.

·  If you would prefer to register over the phone instead of online, call Knit Dallas at 214.758.0349 with credit card information to secure your spot.  Full payment is needed to reserve your spot.

·     If you need to cancel, you will receive a full refund if you cancel 5 days prior to the start of the first class.  Otherwise, cancellations and no-shows are not refundable.

·  If you must miss one class, contact your instructor for individual makeup arrangements. If you will be missing multiple classes, please sign up when you are able to make all of the classes. A maximum of one class may be made up for multi-session classes.

·  Classes may be canceled in the event of insufficient sign-ups (less than three students).  If we cancel a class, you will be notified three days before the start of the first class by phone & will be given a full refund.

·  Please email info@knitdallas.com or call us at 214.758.0349 if you would like to be added to a waiting list when classes sell out. We will let you know if spaces become available. Please also note that our waiting lists do not roll over to the next scheduled classes.
